Social UGC ("we", "us") provides a platform that helps creators and businesses generate and publish
content to their connected social media accounts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we
collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email, and login credentials when you create an account.
- Connected platform data — when you connect a social account (e.g. Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X,
TikTok, YouTube), we receive an authorization token and access to the data you grant, which may include your
profile, your media and posts, comments on your content, messages, and audience insights. We use this
only to provide the features you enable (publishing, scheduling, replying to comments, analytics).
- Content you create — topics, captions, images, and videos generated or scheduled through the service.
- Usage & technical data — basic logs, device/browser information, and activity needed to operate and
secure the service.
How we use information
- To generate, schedule, publish, and manage content on your connected accounts at your direction.
- To reply to comments or messages on your behalf when you enable that feature.
- To provide analytics and to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How information is shared
- The platforms you connect (Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube) — to publish and manage
your content, as you direct, via their official APIs.
- AI providers we use to generate content (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, fal.ai, ElevenLabs) —
your prompts and content may be processed by these providers to produce text, images, audio, or video.
- Infrastructure providers that host and run the service.
- We do not sell your personal information.
YouTube API Services
Social UGC uses YouTube API Services to publish to a YouTube channel you connect. By connecting a
YouTube channel you also agree to the
YouTube Terms of Service, and
Google's handling of your information is described in the
Google Privacy Policy.
- What we request — the
youtube.upload scope (to upload videos to the channel you
connect) and the youtube.readonly scope. Google's consent screen describes
youtube.readonly broadly as viewing your YouTube account; we use it for exactly two things:
reading your channel's name and identifier so we can show which channel is linked, and reading the public
statistics of videos we published for you.
- What we do with it — we upload only videos you created in Social UGC, and read back public view and
engagement counts to report performance and improve future drafts. We do not access your private
videos, subscriptions, watch history, or any channel you have not connected.
- Limited Use — Social UGC's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google
API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer this data to
third parties except as needed to provide the service you requested, and we do not use it for advertising.
- Revoking access — disconnect YouTube in your Social UGC dashboard, or revoke our access directly at
myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Revocation stops all further access immediately and we delete the stored tokens for that channel.
Data retention & security
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
Access tokens are encrypted at rest. We apply industry-standard safeguards, though no method of transmission
or storage is 100% secure.
Your rights & choices
You may disconnect any platform at any time (which deletes the tokens we hold for it, and for YouTube also
revokes the grant at Google), access or correct your information,
or request deletion of your data. See Data deletion.
Children
The service is not directed to individuals under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the "last updated" date above.
